As a community association, part of our mission is to provide community amenities combined with an array of programs like yoga, various leagues, a drop-in quilting group, and art classes in North Calgary. Whether you’re looking for a creative outlet or a physical one, we’ve got something for younger and older residents.
Registration opens for our Winter/Spring 2024 programs and leagues in the coming weeks, so mark your calendar and join the community at the TGCA for some good fun in 2024.
The TGCA will feature various forms of artistic classes in Winter/Spring 2024, and we invite you to come and communicate what’s in your mind through line, colour and form while expanding your self-confidence and skill in a safe and nonjudgmental environment.
Classes in Winter/Spring 2024 are on Tuesdays 10 – 11 am & Wednesdays 7:30 – 8:30 pm

The community association is pleased to continue to offer art classes for kids and youth for Winter/Spring 2024.
The classes are for ages 5 – 15 and have been very popular. Small class sizes mean that your child gets plenty of attention from our instructor, Karen, and the classes explore all kinds of mediums and subjects.
Classes yet to be announced. Registration opens Dec. 20 for the first class of 2024.

Hatha Yoga is a mindful, lightly flowing class that builds strength, flexibility and breath work. Luann teaches an alignment-based flow – using breath to link the poses together. It is important to build strength and balance, as well as the flexibility that yoga is known for.
Classes are Tuesdays at 7 – 8 pm and Fridays at 10:30 – 11:30 am and there are 3 sessions for Winter/Spring 2024, session 1 registration opens Dec. 15.

Looking for a good time every week that doesn’t break the bank? 5-pin bowling is a super fun, simple game that anyone of any age can learn. This is a recreational league for adult TGCA members only, so make sure your membership is active! Win the league trophy and prizes, not to mention league bragging rights and glory for the champs, and enjoy a windup party with a meal on the TGCA too!
The 8 week league is on Tuesdays 6:30 – 8:30 pm in our 4-lane bowling alley beside the restaurant. It’s a mixed league of teams of 2, spares included. Windup party in The 56 includes meals for players and champs receive a prize and have their picture taken with the trophy.

This weekly program is a great opportunity for the kids to blow off some steam in a supervised environment, giving parents an opportunity to use our facilities, do an errand, enjoy our wing night in The 56 or just take some much deserved you-time.
Winter 2024 session Jan. 10 – Feb. 28 | 8 dates | $20+tax per child

The TGCA racquetball league has been going strong for decades and there’s always room for more players! This is a mixed league and open to any level of skill. Our league includes divisions for: beginner, intermediate, advanced and elite.
The league nights are on Monday and Wednesday every week between 5 – 9 pm.
Mondays, 5:15 – 9 pm, Jan. 15 – April 22 | no league on Family Day, Feb. 19 | windup on April 22
Wednesdays, 5:15 – 9 pm, Jan. 17 – April 17 | windup on April 17
Winter 2024 season windup nights are April 17 & 22. Players enjoy refreshments and snacks at the windup and division winners can look forward to some swag and prizes in celebration of their supremacy.

Nothing brings the idea of comfort to mind quite like a vibrant, inviting and cozy quilt. Why not make your own? The quilting program is a great place to meet some like-minded, crafty folks in the area. There are several quilters that participate in this small program that have plenty of knowledge to share and stories to tell.
Drop-in Quilting is Wednesdays from 10 am – 4 pm and the fee is $12+tax
