Thanks so much to everyone who came out and participated at Neighbour Day on Saturday. There was a steady stream of visitors over the day but things got cut short around 3 pm when a storm barged in and even hailed on us. Luckily it was a quick downpour and most vendors and visitors were no worse for wear.
The BBQ lunch was beef on a bun with a couple of salads which everyone seemed to enjoy. Thanks very much to The TGCA board members who were on hand to serve lunch to around 200 hungry folks. Delicious!
Our vendors enjoyed the day and many did very well! They enjoyed chatting with one another and meeting the visitors. We had such a selection of vendors that there really was something for everyone and many people left with a new treasure or gift for Father’s Day.
Thanks so much to YYC Food Trucks for coordinating the Cookie Dough Stand truck for the event. It was such a great addition and really added some colour too!
The Guides were here with cookies for sale and some kids’ activities and The City came by with some crafts too! Thanks to those groups for keeping our kids entertained and thanks to our director Michelle for coordinating the entertainment.
Thanks to the TGCA staff for all the hard work behind the scenes. We’re very lucky to have our staff here at the TGCA, they make our events seem so effortless.
We’ll see you next year!
Join us this year for this in-person event to celebrate community!
