The Craft Fair was a smashing success again this year thanks to all the vendors, fair visitors, volunteers, baker volunteers/donors, TGCA staff and Craft Fair Committee members!
The were so many interesting and adorable products at the 155 tables that it took awhile to get to them all! Many vendors said the market was one of the best they’d been to, and that’s the highest of praise, from where we’re standing. The vendors are truly what make this event one of the most beloved in the community.
The bake sale was a a frenzy of activity on the evening of the 17th. We had so many donations that we needed a whole other room to store them in. Our bake sale coordinator and volunteer were overwhelmed with excited customers looking for goodies for a good cause. The proceeds from the bake sale went directly to the 4th Annual TGCA Holiday Adopt-a-Family, and we’re so pleased to let you know that we’ve met our goal of $5000, with a large portion of that coming from the bake sale. Almost $1300!
The Calgary Food Bank collected 7 of their oversized boxes from the event, so thanks so much to all who brought a nonperishable food item for Calgary’s most in-need.
Thanks again to everyone for building that community spirit as we head into the holiday season. We look forward to another Craft Fair next year and hope to see all of you there.
