As the community garden continues to come together in year two, one of the ways the community garden committee wanted to involve the community is by finding a local youth to paint a mural on the garden shed. After the committee did some footwork contacting schools and local youth organisations, Jayden was recommended and invited to bring his mural vision to life.
If you passed by this summer, you may have seen him in the garden, diligently painting his imaginative Calgary cityscape scene with vibrant colours, mountains, flowers, and, of course, bees!
The committee is so excited about this additional to the space and pleased to be able to give Jayden a TGCA gift card as a token of appreciation for all of his hard work.
So, thank you, Jayden! Your imaginative mural makes our garden more welcoming and whimsical, and we enjoyed watching your progress all summer long.
