Event Recap from Mary Lacoste, Yahoo! event committee chair
Yahoo! What a success our Stampede celebrations were. Breakfast was a huge success, serving 1400 people. By my calculations, the barbeque was also very successful, serving about 850 hotdogs, hamburgers and veggie burgers along with the suds. The Kids’ Zone was busy the whole time with parents telling us how they were able to visit while their children were playing. Our playground got well used too. Face painting and balloons were also a huge success!
Thank you to The Booster Club for supplying breakfast and the music. It is greatly appreciated. The staff along with all the volunteers did an amazing job of making this event a huge success.
Of course, most importantly, a big thanks to our community for coming out and supporting us. Once again, we are one proud TGCA, made and still managed by volunteers.

Big thanks to Bounce-it Calgary for supplying the bouncy castles and kids’ games as well as to Jayne Jeffries Entertainment for the face painting and balloon animals.
MojoLisa rocked the Yahoo all day long and really livened things up, so a big thanks to our regular Stampede Yahoo players for coming once again this year.
Youth Central provided volunteers for the event, and we were so grateful to have the help in the Kids’ Zone, as it was a VERY busy place. Big thanks to this awesome organization!
Thanks so much to our business members, who came to participate in the festivities. There were giveaways, bubble machines, games and more at their booths and it was a good opportunity for resident to get to know a few of the TGCA business members in person! Thanks a bunch to Sandi Hegland, realtor of Real Estate Professionals; The Heartland Agency and Imagine Early Learning and Child Care; Ellyse Bulloch, realtor of CIR Realty; and Pawsitive Pet Solutions. Learn more about the TGCA business membership here.
Thanks so much, everyone! After a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic, The TGCA Yahoo! 2022 was like a big hug from an old friend. We’ll see you next year!!
