Over the past weeks we have been receiving reports, and community residents have likely observed as well, that we have had an uptick in issues within Thorncliffe-Greenview regarding car/garage break-ins, property damage and so on. Our community is not unique as this has been happening in many neighborhoods across Calgary. We have been in discussions with Constable Lower who is assigned to our community to discuss these issues.
Thorncliffe-Greenview will be hosting a community safety meeting on September 13 at 6:30pm in the Thorncliffe Room (next to the office through the main hall doors, 5600 Centre Street North). This will give us an opportunity to hear from Constable Lower about some of the work she has been doing and discuss what we as a collective can do to keep our community safe.
If you have any specific questions or topics you would like to see addressed in the meeting, please come prepared to share.
We’ll look forward to seeing everyone on September 13. In the meantime, please continue to report any issues as they happen.
