58th Thorncliffe Scouts is alive and well.  Even with the closure of the Calgary Scouts office and scout shop. We are working virtually, all sections are meeting on Zoom.

The beavers section has been working on scout skills and working on Personal Achievement Badges. Some of the presentations have been outstanding showcasing the youths’ talents.  The cubs are meeting virtually and have been working on scout skills and playing different games. They are starting to plan a community service project as part of their top section award. In previous years our cubs have achieved the award.

The scouts have been starting their meetings with a new scout skill, then they go and play games or talking about adventures when we can meet in person again. All sections are looking for opportunities for volunteer service, but we will ensure that the safety of the youth is maintained.

We are dedicated to the safety of the youth. We take the safety with COVID-19 serious and ensuring that we follow all government rules.
