The 2025 Craft Fair was a festive success with shoppers enjoying the variety of unique items from makers and artisans from across the community. Whether you were a shopper, a vendor, a volunteer or a staff member, you were feeling the holiday vibes this weekend.
Between the market spaces bursting with festive goods, the bake sale with a record-breaking number of cookies, cakes and treats, the Guides selling their famous biscuits, the comfort food at the concession, the volunteers offering info and taking donations, the Thornview Seniors’ book sale, and all the familiar faces of friends and family, the 2025 fair was one that we won’t soon forget.
Thank you so much to all of the following groups and individuals for making this event possible:
- The 36 bake sale donors who made the Craft Fair’s bake sale a record-breaking triumph. Because of your contribution, we were able to raise a staggering $1990 toward the annual Adopt-a-Family!
- Adopt-a-Family donors. We’d also like to thank the folks who made financial donations at the info table as well. We collected over $160 in cash donations and every dollar is so gratefully accepted.
- Our amazing volunteers at the info table, Louise and Marge, who are the familiar epicentre of the action every year.
- Our local Guides group. We know the community loves when these guys are selling their wares!
- Our amazing TGCA staff. Our staff set up, tear down, cook, clean up, serve and collect at our events, and we appreciate their contributions so much.
- The Thornview Seniors’ Centre. A Craft Fair is just not the same without a seniors’ centre book and puzzle sale, and visitors were excited to see the sale open again this year.
- The vendors. Thanks so much to all the vendors that participated this year. Whether it was your first year or your 30th, you put the “craft” in Craft Fair, and we appreciate you!
- The TGCA Craft Fair Committee. This small but mighty committee has been organizing the fair since 2023 and their investment of time and effort has brought the community new event features like the nonperishable food donation collection and the bake sale. Thanks to volunteers Lynn, Cindy and Alissa, the community continues to enjoy this beloved event.
- And last, but certainly not least, the community! We had a fantastic turnout this year and that’s what this is all about after all, so big thank yous to everyone who visited the fair this year. We’ll see you in 2026!
Holiday vendor market, bake sale fundraiser & food drive
In Thorncliffe & Greenview, the unofficial start to the holidays is the TGCA Craft Fair, and as usual we’ve got some great event highlights to get you into the spirit – along with the holiday vendor market, we’ve got a bake sale and a food drive for the Calgary Food Bank too. Find unique items and your favourite vendors, and cross some of those names off your list this November!
Nov. 14, 5 – 9 pm & Nov. 15, 10 am – 3 pm
Over 100 vendors, concession open, bake sale, full-service restaurant on site, fully accessible.
Free admission – all visitors are encouraged to bring a non-perishable donation for the Calgary Food Bank.
Look forward to handmade goods and artisan products of all sorts at this much-beloved annual event. Greeting cards, ornaments, crocheted toys and garments, jewelry, kitchenware, décor items, gifts for pets, stocking stuffers and much more! This market has been operating for decades and we are proud to support crafters and artists in the community. You won’t find mass-produced or pyramid/MLM products at this market.
The bake sale to benefit the annual TGCA Holiday Adopt-a-Family has become an annual feature of the fair, and the community has been incredibly supportive. Enjoy seasonal baked goods prepared in the community and feel good about supporting local families in need this holiday season. We’re looking for volunteer bakers! You can sign up on our volunteer baker info page here.
Look forward to drinks, warm snacks and treats at our concession or have a delicious and sensibly priced meal in The 56 restaurant downstairs.
The event is in the TGCA main hall & Thorncliffe Room in the south building, parking in the east and south parking lots. 5600 Centre St N. Enter from either Centre St. or 56th Ave. Disability parking and ramp by the main hall lobby doors on the southeast side on the centre.
The TGCA is not accepting any vendors at this time but you can join the waitlist here. If you are a registered 2025 vendor and you have questions, please contact Lynn at vendorinfo@tgcacalgary.com.
