Good Food Box at the TGCA

Program information

The Good Food Box makes top-quality, fresh food available in a way that does not stigmatize people, fosters community development and promotes healthy eating.

The program is coordinated by the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary and the TGCA is one of many depots across Calgary. You can find all the depots on the Community Kitchen website.

Good Food Boxes include produce only, and are chock-full of seasonal vegetables and fruits, so you can expect quite a different box in January than you might get in June.

You may want to make a meal plan ahead of receiving your Good Food box. It’s an exceptional value but it is a lot of perishable food. To give you an idea of how much food you’ll get, the “large box” usually comes in a banana box and often also includes an additional bag of potatoes. (Pictured on this page)

For more information about this program, please contact Ian Undseth: email, call (403) 538-3780, or visit

Please note: Community Kitchen Program of Calgary doesn’t accommodate special orders and the content of the boxes is not optional. Please keep this in mind if you have allergies, as your box may contain a wide variety of produce.

Notice of price increase: The Good Food Box price increase will be in effect for orders from the TGCA depot for the August 22 deadline, which will be on sale beginning June 20th. To see the announcement from Community Kitchen Calgary, click here
