Craft Fair bake sale volunteers needed!

The bake sale at the Craft Fair has been a popular addition to the event and a wonderful way to raise funds for local families, so we’re looking for even more volunteer bakers this year. All bake sale proceeds to benefit the 2026 TGCA Holiday Adopt-a-Family, which is in its 7th year of successfully supporting local families-in-need during the holidays.

Whether you’re a seasoned whiz that makes it from scratch, prefer to use a boxed mix or want to donate some treats from your favourite bakery, we need your support! The TGCA Craft Fair Committee is seeking volunteer bakers to donate 2 dozen seasonal baked items for our fundraiser – you know, to make the season bright! When we say “seasonal,” we mean: gingerbread, shortbread, fruit cake, sugar cookies, spiced loafs, autumnal fruit pies, etc. Chocolate chip cookies are always a big hit. Of course, you can bake whatever you like to share with the community.

2026 Bake Sale Update: In order to keep all of the possible allergens available to the public, bakers will be assigned a number to put on their list of ingredients and their baked good labels.

Here’s what we need from bakers:

  • Provide minimum 2 dozen baked good (cookies, squares/cupcakes) or 2 fruit pies, 2 cakes or 2 loafs.
  • Package your (non-pie/loaf/cupcake/cake) baked goods in ½ dozens.
  • Label each package with the type baked goods (brownie, sugar cookie, snickerdoodle etc.) and the assigned number we send you.
  • Provide a list of all the ingredients in the recipe that you prepared and label it with your assigned baker’s number.
  • Deliver to the centre on either Thursday, Nov. 12 or Friday, Nov. 13 between 8 am and 4 pm.
  • Feel great about supporting local families during the holidays and making this year’s craft fair super yum!
