Support Local Youth on a TGCA Committee

We’re looking for volunteers to help guide and strengthen Summer Club, our annual free summer program for local children and youth. This committee helps shape the program, share ideas, support planning, and ensure Summer Club continues to reflect the needs and interests of our community.

Committee members have the opportunity to gain experience, work with others, build community connections, and help create positive experiences for local families. No special background is required. We’re simply looking for people who care about the community, enjoy collaborating, and want to contribute their ideas.

Summer Club provides free, welcoming opportunities for children and youth to stay active, try new things, build friendships, and feel connected. By joining the committee, you’ll help support a program that promotes belonging, participation, and positive experiences for young people in our neighbourhood.

Commitment: One 1.5-hour meeting per month plus coordinator assignments and correspondence as needed which could be up to an additional 2 hours, October – May. If the TGCA gets enough volunteers signed up for the committee, meeting times will be determined based on committee members availability. These roles will not be involved in the running of the programming itself, unless committee members are also interested in that aspect of programming as well. Summer Club is an existing program in it’s second year of operations with community partner Planet Youth Calgary.
