The TGCA is collecting non-perishable food and household items for the Veterans Food Bank of Calgary until Dec. 18. Community members are invited to drop off items in front of the TGCA office from 9 am – 9 pm.
We are also collecting cash for the food bank in the office during regular office hours, Monday -Friday, 9 am – 4:30 pm.
This following is the food banks’ holiday wish list:
- Boxed mashed potatoes
- Canned fruit
- Canned meats/fish (ham/turkey/chicken)
- Ground coffee/tea
- Cooking oils
- Hamburger Helper/other dry prepared meals
- Juice boxes/soda pop
- Pancake mix/syrup
- Saltine crackers
- Vinegar
- Bleach
- General cleaning products
- Dishwashing soap/pods
- Fabric softener
- Laundry detergent/Bounce sheets
- Medium/large garbage bags
- Paper towel
- Toilet paper
