58th Scout Group at Thorncliffe Greenview, March 2021

Our sections have been meeting in person, we are still observing COVID protocols. We have been blessed with the weather as we are meeting outdoors.

Our beavers have been tobogganing, building snow shelters, playing games, snow soccer. They are happy with being able to get together. We were looking at stars but due to the overcast sky the stars were hard to see but they were able to identify a satellite moving across the sky.

The cubs have been making shelters, they have been using the snow piles to create snow shelters. They have been tobogganing on the hill by the community Center. We have been working on badges and completing the top section award. They have completed their project of creating dog treats for a dog shelter.

The scouts have been exploring building different emergency shelters. Using different groups of supplies and locations they have been creating different types of shelters. They are starting to learn different elements of first aid to complete their emergency badges.
