Vaccine QR Code No Longer Required for Entry – Feb. 9, 2022
On February 9, 2022, vaccination requirements for the Thorncliffe Greenview Community Association ended as the provincial government discontinued their vaccination passport program, known as REP.
TGCA staff, instructors and volunteers will no longer require the Alberta QR code for vaccination verification from our members and customers upon entry.
Masking mandates remain in place and visitors to any of our facilities are expected to wear one, unless they are eating, drinking or engaged in a physical activity. Beginning Feb. 14, 2022 children 12 and under are not required to wear a mask in the centre.
The TGCA thanks all of our members and guests for their ongoing patience and consideration of the health of those around them.
The TGCA requires the TGCA league participants and/or program participants to follow these guidelines to mitigate the risk to fellow players, participants, instructors, staff and other TGCA visitors:
- Masks are required in the TGCA facility while not actively engaged in a fitness activity
- League and class participants are to follow the guidelines and instruction of the league leader and/or instructor, and observe protocols put into place for their particular program, sport, facilities and league.
- If you don’t understand the current expectations, please speak to your league leader or instructor to clarify.
In the instance that a registrant will not continue participation in their scheduled TGCA program due to the restrictions announced on Sept. 15, 2021, the TGCA will not offer refunds as vaccination restrictions are beyond our control, vaccinations are widely available across the city and reasonable alternatives are available to all registrants.
Online Refunds: If you have paid for your program online, you may cancel online up to two days before the class begins for a full refund. However, a refund will not automatically be issued, and TGCA staff will review your cancellation before issuing a refund. When a refund is approved, it will be put back onto the account that you used to pay online.
Closure contingency refunds: In the event that a citywide closure order of recreation centres is issued due to COVID-19 concerns, the remaining balance of your subsequent classes from that date will be refunded to you using the payment method you originally used for registration of the TGCA program. Credits for the subsequent classes will be offered to all participants.
The TGCA thanks all participants and players for their attention to and observation of these terms and conditions.
