We need bingo volunteers!

Can you spare a couple of evenings a month?

At the TGCA our mission is to provide a variety of community amenities combined with an array of programs and year-round events and activities to promote and support our members and residents who come to share and use our facilities. One of the main ways that we raise funds for these goals is our community bingo nights.

Our bingo patrons look forward to it very much and are an enthusiastic and focused bunch who love to see their friends at our weekly events. Our bingo nights are not just a way to raise much needed funds for the maintenance of our facilities, they provide a community within the community and also employ quite a few people as well.

The volunteer bingo shifts are twice per week, 4:45 – 9:30 and we typically hope to get up to 6 people either volunteering or working with the TGCA fee assistance initiative, which gives parents and youth organizations the opportunity to raise money toward the fees for their programming.

Come and try it out and see if it’s a good fit for you! We are in particular need of folks on Tuesday evenings.

Our dedicated staff will show you the ropes when you arrive and for the most part you can expect the role to be fairly straightforward but busy. We expect all volunteers to wear a mask and physically distance where possible until mandates have ended.

Please find an outline below of the night and the various roles of folks helping out. Volunteers must be able to be on their feet for the majority of shift.

If you would like to volunteer, please contact Vanessa, v.gillard@tgcacalgary.com or call 403-274-6840.

Thanks so much for your consideration and have a great day!
